Removing yellow old glue stains in a 77 headlining

Post by leewiffen »

Any tips for removing or diminishing the old yellow glue stains that bleed through around the edges of the rooflining on a 77 911S?
I've used Maguires to clean the lining which has got rid of all the dirt and marks from fingers etc
I've tried some vinegar on a small spot which did not make a difference
Should I add some bicarb and give that a try?
Any other advice would be appreciated

Have you tried these ‘Magic Erasers’?

Homebase do them, think they are impregnated with bicarbonate of soda and something else.

I would try some vanish product. Maybe check their web site.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.
