Complete 901 911/01 5-speed Gearbox/Transmission - SOLD

Complete Porsche 901 911/01 5-speed Gearbox/Transmission for sale

Original magnesium case '901' 5-speed. Type number 911/01 which places it as original fit for the 2.2L 1970-'71 911E and 911S, although all ratios same in this period I believe (0.324, 0.563, 0.821, 1.080, 1.318, rev 0.688, fd 0.226)

Serial number: 7106410

Type number: 911/01

Condition is 'used'. Was removed from a running car so had an opportunity to asses it prior to removal. All gears select well, no issues with selection engagements or syncros across all gears. Does whine a bit in 5th gear under high-load/low speed so not perfect, however gears 1-4 are nice and quiet. Perfectly useable as-is, so could be fitted without further work to a driver-level car, or rebuild prior if desired.

Gearbox now sold.

If I'm not mistaken it's also correct for a 2.2T as it was often specified from the factory as is the case for mine.

1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.
