So, had a retry at this today with the gunison easibleeder, dropped the pressure to 15psi on the spare tyre and it worked quite well. It turns out one of the fittings done on the refurb was leaking slightly.

Anyhow, long and short, got semi good brakes now but wondering if i need to look at servicing or changing the master cylinder as when you apply the brakes, they work but not great, if you apply them first, then lift off and re-apply, so double pedal the brakes, they are good.

That sounds like you’ve still got air in the system

All the nipples ran clean, free of air bubbles. I’ll take it for another run, use the brakes hard and do it again

When bleeding using whatever method or aid, tap the calliper being bled wth something metallic, i.e. Adjustable spanner.
I've known that to dislodge a bubble.
