Curborough anyone?
I was wondering if a group of us would be up for booking Curborough for a day one time - if interested, let me know most appropriate days, dates and times and maybe I can make some enquiries.

Yes please. If it’s late enough in the year it will be the 911, otherwise probably my sons MX5 or his S2000.
Not sure they will let you back in after last time Nigel!

I’m up for a play as long as no-one minds something of a water-cooled disposition! I guess it’s all good if Gary is going water-cooled and non-Porsche!!

Re: Curborough anyone?
Ok I asked and it's basically a grand for a day so we would need ten takers for it to be £100 each. Only weekdays available - does it work for people at that cost, and any preference which day?

Re: Curborough anyone?
Thursday or Fridays are the best week days for me as I only work 3 days per week. I can alter those days around though if needed.

Re: Curborough anyone?
I've done quite a few private days there over the last 3 decades inc 2 just on my own.
I find a morning tends to be 'enough', drive gets tired, cars can too.
With a lot of people there you also need to have a good discipline to avoid the potential for 2 crazy hot-shots on the trace at a given time.
We would be there totally on our own, and emergencies and its '999', and doubt anyone's insurance will cover the day.
Don't mean to dampen anything, just a reality check.
It takes about 4 mins to get on the track, do a lap, get off, so 10 cars is almost an hour. So, about 5 runs in a morning.

Re: Curborough anyone?
Whenever I've been (only 3 times with private groups) we've only ever had 1 car on, 3-4 laps of the figure of 8 then off for the next guy. Entering at the Marshalls post, then exiting at the paddock area.
I'll do whatever I'm told though
If the weather is good it usually ends being more of social with a BBQ too. Guess it's still couple hours downtime midday for local residents?

Curborough anyone?
I’ve always done the enter at Marshall’s post then two laps and exit down at the paddock.
Using the proper start down at the bottom has more risk of a messy one as you enter the left hander pretty quick. Also easier to manage with all the people at the top coming straight out of the car park rather than organising a start at the bottom.

Re: Curborough anyone?
If we have up to 10 cars we can use the whole track. If up to 15 cars, we can only use the figure of 8 area. Might be better to stick to the figure of 8 anyway - on member's days they have done that when it's more busy because I think you get more track time.

Re: Curborough anyone?
Yeah, I think we initially stuck to the fig 8, 2-3 laps then next car on. I think as the day went on we'd do more laps until we'd had enough or someone was waiting to enter at the Marshall point.
