Example of crankshaft rpm to ignition frequency conversion ...

At 1000rpm, divide by 60 for revs per second, giving 16.666rps

Six cylinder, four stroke gives 6/2 = 3 ignition pulses per revolution

So at 1000rpm we see ignition pulses at 3 x 16.666 = 50Hz

Relationship between rpm and ignition pulse frequency is 20 (for six cylinder, four stroke)

Cheers

I got this cheapo one off Amazon and I love it. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Neoteck-Multim ... 06Y2J6ZFD/
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.
