Hey there,

Found these forums via a discussion on another forum and thought I'd sign up.

I'm currently driving a modified 1972 Datsun 240z and a 2004 911 Turbo. They're both great cars but at some point I'm likely going to have to go down to 1, and when that happens it's likely I'll sell both and buy myself an older 911 and modify that instead.

In the future the plan will probably be buying a 3.2 G50 and backdating, which I know isn't unique or rare these days but I absolutely love how they look. I'll keep my eye on the for sale section as no doubt there'll be some suitable cars at some point :)

Here's a few pictures:

Thanks for the warm welcome :-) I'll see if I can get some more pictures here on the Datsun, Hot66 :)

Anyone likely to be at the Blenheim Porsche Show on Sep 2nd? I'll hopefully be there in the 996

Bumping a year old thread just to say I'm still lurking :) Mainly keeping an eye on the For Sale section but not much has changed on my front, other than it's the 996 Turbo that will be selling first.

Ideally looking to get rid of it for an older 911 as I'm no longer required to have a car to commute in, hooray!

Unfortunately the 996 is a Tip so the prospect of swapping it for something aircooled is low as it wont appeal the majority of owners, so it's currently sat on Pistonheads :)

Nice to have a new member, so welcome. I hope you get something you enjoy because the bar is high with what you have.

Thanks Ashley - it certainly is :-)

Sadly the "time" looks nearer than ever, recently moved into my first house and just got married to my lovely wife, which unfortunately means it's getting trickier to justify the Datsun as I only drove around 2000 miles in it and have let the MOT run out.

I took out a nice 911sc which had a recent top end rebuild, and the owner was after a Datsun so we were looking at making a deal - sadly the car was riddled with rust. Maybe see you soon :)

It's probably worth posting that I frequently go to Bicester Heritage and it was great to see a decent turn out of old 911s, both from DDK and IB Forums

A while ago I posted this thread offering my 240z + 996t (and cash depending on car) as the desire is real.

Recently, during yet another visit to Bicester Heritage, I was parked next to a lovely longhood with a DDK badge and figured I'd check back to see if anyone was interested!

The Datsun has recently sold, and I'm now on the look-out for my first Air Cooled 911 :-)
