Engine sound deadening mat
I have a great baltic and linen 89 3.2 176 k miles. The engine was totally rebuilt by the previous owner but he did not replace the engine insulation mat at the same time. The mat which is probably original has dropped and disintegrating and needs replaced. Is this a straightforward job and what if any problems may arise? Thanks in advance.

Easy peasy lemon lemon squeezy unless you decide you're going to clean up the bulkhead at the same time (messy and awkward).
There are a bunch of bent metal 'clips' that hold the pad in place and from memory it is also glued, but when I replaced mine I didn't glue it

The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Thanks Sladey. I have ordered the replacement mat from Porsche . Is it the best one to get?
