Met Dean Polopolus about 20 or more years ago when he was fisrt developing the engine, starting with a 911 case that he band-sawed in two, shortened and then welded back together. Later he cast his own cases. Very talented unassuming guy. Inevitably others have copied his design...

The parasitic drug companies only differ by degree - the principle of seeing an asset being marketed at below the price somebody is willing to pay, purchasing it and remarketing it at a higher price is obviously identical. The product is just a lot more important and sensitive in that case. Taking principles to extremes is useful because it increases clarity.

Re your claim I failed, I acknowledge that you don't concede the argument and I can handle that without having to attempt to bruise your ego. I see this as being a more sensitive topic to you because you're a trader and you're sensitive to the question of whether traders actually contribute anything worthwhile to society. I work in marketing and I often ask myself if what I do is actually worthwhile too. It's good that we're moral people.

hehe, I missed this and probably shouldn't go on. I'm not sure I have a sensitive ego, maybe I have  I'm certainly not sure I have contributed much to society in my 61 years. It's an interesting question. I've probably helped about 100,000 companies run a bit better with the various software I have had a modest hand in creating in my 40 years on the job. But they paid for the privilege of course.

On the subject of marketing (of which I am a great fan) I have two questions. Which half of the marketing budget is producing results? And should the marketing team have been included in the Golgafrincham Ark B ship?

Moral people trying to do a good job? Hit the nail on the head. Not like these dodgy city boys, eh Feroz?

If you did work that they wanted and output something they used, I'm sure the pay you received is a relatively fair measure of your contribution.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

I tried to pass the work ethic to my kids and I think that by and large they have got it!

maverick
noun
1. an unorthodox or independent-minded person.
2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

This is quite lovely, no idea on authenticity, but I’d be happy with it in the garage
