Are more projects coming onto the market from dealers?

Post by RobFrost »

Six months ago, it seemed to me project cars were impossible to find. Now I feel like I'm seeing more come on to the market, and in particular from dealers and commercial car restorers who appear to be digging out project cars they never got started on. It got me wondering whether dealers are finding their stock start to hang around for longer than before, and realising they won't be starting that project they had hiding away in the back of the garage the past few years. Is anyone else getting the same or opposite feeling or experience? Or maybe they've always sold on these unstarted projects and I never noticed before.

1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

The one you listed from Harris Classics - he buys and sells a lot of 964s, doesnt turn anything away really so expect its one he just got in but doesnt want to take on as a project as no margin in it doing that.
