Not strictly a Porsche event, but you sometimes see a classic or two. Some clown tried to convince me Ferdinand Porsche designed the Beetle; preposterous!
Don't be confused by the title 'Slough VW Swapmeet' - it's at Newbury race course. Newbury clearly doesn't have the same caché as Slough

I went as well and thoroughly enjoyed it. On the way back my voltage regulator in the 993 decided to go faulty and I cooked the battery. I didn’t realise until I got home. I did wonder what that strange smell was in the car on the journey home!

Glad you made it home Mike. In my early days with the 356 she went through a phase of sucking every electron out of the battery then dumping me at the side of the road, on one occasion in Central London Friday night rush hour. Studerman (eventually) diagnosed a faulty regulator and rustled up a replacement from his lair
