Odd steering column location (steering wheel is very high), odd pedals (top-hung...).

Found another with a quick search, though pictures don't show much of the RHD conversion clearly.

A 914 is a rare car in Australia. Having lived in Melbourne for almost a year this was the only one I saw. There is a Porsche scene, (Dutton Garage always had a few nice cars for sale) but you're more likely to see American muscle or a Mazda rotary when it comes to foreign classics. On a sunny day you'd see plenty going for a cruise and parking up along beachfronts - St Kilda and Williamstown seemed particularly popular.

Blimey Keith, you have to be eagle-eyed to spot that but agree on both counts. The steering wheel is small which makes it look even higherKS wrote:https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/detail ... 1702/?Cr=0

The steering column comes out through the centre of the dash as opposed to the lower edge - in another photo you realise the throttle pedal isn’t floor-hinged. Driving position must feel weird!
