Lots of marketplace treats...

Post by RobFrost »

Spotted an apparently 1969 forward-date ripe for reversal:

Haven't looked into VIN number.

Also, always wanted one of these:

Lovely-looking 356, RHD too - surely it will exceed its estimate.

3.4 impact bumper hot rod

Restored 2 litre 914 (doesn't say if 4 or 6 cylinder, presumably 4)

1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

914 is on a couple of for sale sites at the moment, originally 1700 and engine redone by RawSpeed? to 2.0 litre.

GT Porsche ran an article on it last year - couple of inaccuracies, but then the editor is the same as Classic Porsche and we all know that’s gone to the wall recently.

The Bristol 405 is an advanced car for the 1950s. Aluminium body, short-shift gearchange and a 2 litre engine with advanced valve timing and the same power as a 2.2 911T from 15 years later. Some of the tooling & tech was taken from BMW as war reparations.

This lovely car was on view at Greatworth on Sunday during the swap meet. It has a superb story.W
