Yes, it is.
USA companies come across far more 'can-do' than the UK and try hard.
Still, just need to be sure what the Kent Spring Kit is, but a small detail.
Still trying to find out if Wossner pistons can take the valve lift of the GE60 cam, ie valve pocket dept.

The JE pistons do but their dome volume is much larger than the Wossner (JE = 41.7cc and Woss =36.5cc) but both have the same compression ratio.
Maybe I don't understand the meaning of the term Dome Volume correctly.

Any thoughts welcome.

If the have the same CR, my assumption would be that the Wossner pistons (with smaller dome volume) must have larger (and probably but not necessarily deeper) cut-outs

Could well be that Peter.
I emailed Wossner USA who have referred me to Wossner UK as I'm in the UK for answers about the cam lift.
Not sure wht USA could not simply answer my question.

Do you think the taller dome of the JE pistons demand twin spark on these larger dia pistons?

Fellow hillclimber has pointed me to a UK supplier of JE pistons for £100 more than Wossner, so going there on Monday.
Pictures don't show rings, so checking the price includes the rings first.
Very nearly there.

Wonderful quote from another forum about a different engine project -

As with everything else, you can either think about it, debate it, sit in front of a screen, or just do it (hopefully before the Care Home bites). Just do it.

Spot on!

Yep, and it's underway already.
Piston and rod orders now in the USA and I'm in a BIG queue...

Sound good :)

You could use your 911 as a test bed for the new lump… get it run in and a basic seat of pants ignition map before rolling roads.

Run in?
Whatsthatthen?
I've re-ringed this engine twice and raced it straight away...
Cam break-in my need a touch more sympathy but I expect the rolling road man to do that for me.

Going to be a long wait for the parts, hope they will be with me before Xmas, but the supplier was not so sure.

Lots and lots of prep to do and cleaning etc plus the flat fan rubber cushion coupling is a bit rattly on tick over and that sort of thing.
Watched a video of heads being twin plugged, quite involved, = time = costs.

I will be amazed if I keep the bill to under £8K.

Project will kick off mid October.
Is there an appetite for a thread ? :?:

Last hill climb this weekend, last time to feel 262 bhp and 450 bhp/ton.
Hope to see 525 bhp/ton in 2022.
