Solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. Yes, if you push really hard on the pedal – I mean really hard – the floor and bulkhead will flex. I doubt if you'll ever push that hard when driving (it's easy to get carried away when you're sitting in your car in the garage) – if you did, you'd probably lock everything up and slide sideways to a smokey-tyred halt. As long as the floor by the pedals isn't rusted – and it can be, due to water leaking into the cabin from a blocked fresh-air box drain - then I don't think you need worry about it.
