I think that the true answer lies in the middle. I don't think that all that many of the materials that make up a car have a 15 year life and then they have deteriorated, indeed some. Also I don't think a 6k mile car is as new at 30 years old. To me there's a lot of personal preference. I have no interest in the premium commanded by a 6k mile 30 year old classic that comes from it having 6k miles.

The first time I ever went in a Porsche was test driving a 356C with Bob Garretson that he was selling when he used to live near Skipton.
