Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Took my Crayford 914 out for a spin today as being dormant in the garage since it went to the 914 International in Stuttgart in 2019.
Took me nearly an hour to get it started---it just wouldn't...tried pouring fuel down the carbs--it started then died.
It then dawned on me that I'd fitted a fuel cut off swicth before going to Germany, and forgot all about it.........what a t055er.
But enjoyed the experience eventually.
Cheers

Spotted and now treating a rust spot(s) on my 2009 Boxster's rear OS sill by the splash guard moulding...
Something of a surprise.

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
After a last minute change of plans a family trip to friends in Bedford became a solo trip, so I tested the luggage capability of the 964 and then enjoyed 180 trouble free running in miles on the A1 in all weathers. Everything working perfectly, I was surprised by the number of people that picked up their phone whilst driving and videoed me....

I’ve been doing a self build job at home for the last two weeks digging footings, mixing muck and setting beams. So I have lost a foot in height via curved back / bowed legs - not feeling that young Keith!

What are they? Torsion bars?
Tried to change my oil pressure switch. It came out easily and the new one went in fine but didn't work. Then the worrying bit started. I put the old one back in. It turned by hand, a few turns, to start it then got stiffer. Like the thread had been changed. I did reinstall and it worked. I started and it wasn't leaking so I'm going to leave it at that.
I bought a new boot. The old one is almost in pieces
Next I finished taking the paint off my rear valance. Next stop is a trial fit. I can't find a fitting kit online so I'm going to have to guess that size bolts to use

Re: What did you do in/on/for your Porsche today?
Got Honey out of the garage for the first time this year! The weather has been so cold and they was salt on the roads until recently. I love the way she starts first time after all this time. Checked the fuels lines and changed the engine oil and filter. Over the weekend I will also change the gearbox oil and re-grease the suspension links.
Still have to get to the bottom of my electrical short that is causing an issue and also my wipers aren't working.
