RENNSPORT SEATS - AVAILABILITY UPDATE

Post by RENNSPORT CLASSICS »

DUE TO BREXIT THE EUROPEAN AUTHORITIES ARE BEING PENDANTIC ABOUT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FROM SHIPPERS SO MUCH SO THAT WE ARE TEMPORARILY UNABLE TO DROP SHIP SEATS AND ALL SEATS HAVE TO BE DELIVERED TO OUR PREMISES FIRST. THIS HAS NECESSARILY INCREASED PRICES ALONG WITH NEW IMPORT CHARGES WHICH HAVE BEEN KEPT TO A MINIMUM.

SEAT ARE NOW SHIPPED ON A PALLET MONTHLY AND ALLOCATION IS CURRENTLY TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE. IE. PLACE AN ORDER NOW FOR SEATS IN TWO MONTHS TIME.

WHEN NORMALITY RETURNS HOPEFULLY WE WILL BE ABALE TO DROP SHIP AGAIN AND ADJUST PRICES ACCORDINGLY.

CURRENTLY WE HAVE IN STOCK FOR IMMEDIATE SHIPMENT ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS: 2 X RS70G, RS72G AND RS75G SEATS. PRICES ARE AS PER OUR WEBSITE WWW.RENNSPORTCLASSICS.EU, PLUS THE NORMAL ONWARD DELIVERY CHARGE OF £79.00 + VAT. YOU CAN OF COURSE COLLECT FROM BETCHWORTH IN SURREY AND SAVE THIS COST.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND PALCE YOUR ORDERS EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

One of my suppliers stated he was frightened by the German authority's reaction and demands and refuses to export to the UK to his suppliers until it becomes easier otherwise. It seems all the financial responsibility is his. HMRC on the other hand are very helpful and accommodating so far.

So far in 2021 I have had two large seat deliveries that has cleared almost all back orders and the documentation has been accepted. It is a new way of trading and it will become easier in the future if the EU value our business. Three months hard work and supplies are now secured which due to the number of enthusiasts that still need our seats is reassuring. I am also experimenting with re-trimming with eyelets which seems popular at present.

Oh and we had the first serious damage caused to a seat in 20 years being a distributor. Coincidence or sour grapes?

Thanks for your concern.

Regards Mark
