What do you know about this picture?

Post by Dougal Cawley »

I wonder what you might know about this picture?

What model?
What year?

i'm particularly interested, because it is fitting the 165HR15 Cinturato CA67, that i should be getting a fresh delivery of next month.
https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/tyres/ ... -ca67.html

So according to the data i have up untill 1968 this was the Pirelli that Porsche fitted, untill 1968 when Pirelli brought out the CN36, which was fitted to lots of cars as a 165R15, but at the same time the 911 went 185/70R15.

But i'd love to know more about that picture and wonder if i would be allowed to use it in adverts.

USA car. Black wiper arms suggest it's a '68 model year at the earliest. But I believe it's a LWB car. The car does look used though, not new.

Nice legs. :drunken:

.

The woman is Linda Gray (actress).

She was a model prior to going into acting so the photo is probably from one of her modelling jobs.

The car is a LWB model - either a '69 912 or a '69-'72 911 ... probably a 911T.

maverick
noun

2. an unbranded calf or yearling.
Origin mid 19th century: from the name of Samuel A. Maverick (1803–70), a Texas rancher who did not brand his cattle.

I used to work with Linda Gray.

In those days she was married to Eddie Gray who played for Leeds.

Hang on a minute. I was asking about the car.

Do you think Porsche were fitting the CA67 Cinturato in 1969 or the CN36? or do you just think that this car has got a new set of tyres on it and they weren't factory fitment. becaue i think the the CA67 makes it a 1968 or earlier car because the CN36 i beleive was fitted by Porsche from 1968 onwards.

i must admit that i do find Linda Gray fascinating too.
