I remember seeing/hearing a V16 BRM do a few laps of Brands Hatch when Nick Mason owned one (I seem to recollect he spent a fortune on the engine rebuild only for it to expire after relatively little use ...

A 'might have been' fabulous noise. Coventry Climax 1.5 flat 16 on the test bench. Complete engine rebuild required every 3 hrs...

Shame it never happened! To relate this back to the BRM picture I believe Hall & Hall have been building the later H16 engine from the drawings - Maybe they were practicing for the V16 'continuation' cars!Hugo 356 wrote:A 'might have been' fabulous noise.
