I use this kit in my 67 912 and it gives a much better and sporty feel to the driving. Actually the best thing is to use the distance plate and bolts in the kit and cut/weld an original shifter so it get the same lenght in the bottom as the one in the kit.
I recomend it!
You also get better short shifters but these cost 5 times more at least.
