Thanks - great cars indeed. I have a friend who has a very nice Giulia Sprint GTA replica he may be prepared to sell but its likely to be around the £50k mark - its RHD, with a 1750 engine and is really lovely.
Mine hasnt moved much as I am in process of sorting brakes - new master cylinder, servo etc.

Saturday rain - so it had a machine polish and ceramic coating
Sunday - oil and filter (great idea that canister style filter.....if oil spills are your thing) change and a drive. Just gets better this car.

Knowing that the car isn't going to spend much time on track and in an effort to make the car more spouse and child friendly the front of the cage, the harnesses and the out of date extinguisher are out! Looks cleaner I think.

Re: 1967 Alfa Giulia Sprint Veloce
When I bought the Alfa, part of its appeal was the fact it had not been GTA'd. And that it had all its original parts. So after some months living with it in its 1300GTA livery, I decided it was time for them to go, along with the number plate light plinth and for the bumpers (which are in great nick) to go back on. And I put a correct wing mirror on in place of the plastic Sebring Vitaloni. And here is the result.

I love it like this. Without the GTA cut outs I think a de-bumpered step nose has a heavy "chin" and just think they look right on this car. Next to go will be the rear cage....once I can summon the energy for that wrestling match and to put the original steering wheel back on (if I can get the Momo off....the hub seems to be stuck fast).

Re: 1967 Alfa Giulia Sprint Veloce
You might need to resort to fabricating a home-made 'puller' - I did when trying to remove the wheel on my Spider.jonno1 wrote:... and to put the original steering wheel back on (if I can get the Momo off....the hub seems to be stuck fast).
One word of advice if using force - keep the retaining nut on the end of the steering column to avoid inadvertently whacking yourself in the face when the wheel eventually comes free !!
Car looks great by the way ...

Re: 1967 Alfa Giulia Sprint Veloce
Thanks all
Yes the GTA wheels are staying. I do have the original wheels and caps.
Put the original Veloce steering wheel back in and removed the cage. Original grab handles/lights back in and working

The 4.5 by 15 wheels are pretty hard to track down - took me a while to locate 5 - so definitely worth hanging on to.
