Collecting Cars - 356 SC

Post by Kenyon »

This looks absolutely gorgeous car. Interesting to see how it fairs on an online auction. You don't get the level of questioning, debate, intrigue and online spats as on Bring a Trailer but maybe in time. Any event lovely looking car.

That car has been for sale with Brian Classic for a long time - at least 3 years I think.

Last time I inquired it was ~ £90k ...

Regarding the comments being less lively than BaT, you have to be a registered bidder to comment which I assume far fewer people are than just registered on BaT. I don't think they want comments other than specific questions about the cars.

Going a bit OT, I'm enjoying the boats and the stuff from the marine museum coming up on BaT, like the packard PT motor recently.

The early Chris-Craft boats are really something to look at. Possibly less fun on a wet and windy English lake or the North Sea. A lot of time tinkering, sanding, varnishing there!

I find some of the technical questions and comments on BaT interesting. Not all of them are constructive (or possibly correct) but there's a wealth of knowledge there.
