The makings of my and my son's Austin 7s came from Cross Keys Motor Services, "Morry's" as we knew it. Dad bought all the pre 1931 Austin seven bits they could find in 1972, mechanical makings of 2 1/2 cars. He and I started on mine when I was 14, and we hit the road at 18, My son and I have been pretty much flat out on his for 3 months and we plan to finish it by term start in September. I grew up in Lydford, and childhood summer Saturdays regularly included a bit of 'Picking Over', there, Netherbury and other west country breakers. A bit of parenting i have been unable to repeat a generation on....KS wrote:

It's f/glass. The engine is a Chevy 350 . . . but I believe it's a been hotted up a little to a stroker 383 (If you spot the flacking paint - that's now been sortedFantastic Phil, looks fab! Pic of the engine bay and interior by any chance and f/glass or ali body?
). I would have preferred a ford, but this is so well built and to my taste, I had to compromise. Still sounds great and is such a pleasure to drive. I really do love it.
