Indeed JW - not inferring wasn’t up to it, more that towing has got a lot more complicated and that fab pic was taken in simpler times (legally).

Much simpler and happier times, when if you were lucky enough to own a 550 Spyder, you thought nothing of entering a Club race meeting and enjoying it - that's what it was built for! :wink: Castle Combe 1981

Crispin’s car, I took it to Combe that day for Crispin to race. However, he did lend it to John after his silver coupe was wrecked at Silverstone. John raced and tweaked the Spyder for a season or so before his own replacement car was ready.
