Has anyone used Shipley to collect a bicycle?
As above really, found a potential new bike for my son but it's in Dorset. The vendor wont pack and post, but would recieve a bike bag and drop out the wheels. So i'm wondering about buying a bag, putting a load of bubblewrap in it, and a label on the outside, and sending it to them....and getting it collected by Shipley (or another courier) Words of wisdom please? I've used Shipley for all manner of things, no bikes but plenty of large Ebay purchases, some of them delicate, some quite expensive and I've always been happy with the service. Would use again.

Another positive vote from me.
The bloke I used in the early days of Shipley was excellent. He was into 'old stuff' and really took care of a Pashley Guvnor that the seller (dick/chinless/rugger-shirted) couldn't even be asked to put a Tesco bag over the seat as it was a present he didn't want. Bike arrived wrapped in the van drivers blankets and cardboard, completely unmarked. He even took it for a pedal up the road, all 27stone of him...

I have used them for a bike, but the seller did package it up nicely. Have used them for loads of things tbh, just check the insurance cover and feedback of the companies that submit a price.

Paisley freight are also excellent. They also have a service where they deliver a box for the bike first.
