Graham I’m sure you are correct. Today I was a passenger in the C4S and on tarmac the Bilstein 6s were fine but on concrete sections which seem to occur the suspension bashed uncomfortably. Maybe that would be different on a 3.2 ?

The question of comparing is hard as it's more to do with what components you've got than the car.

Torsion bar size
Damper spec
Tyre size
Even ride height.

For example, many people run their 911s very low and the front hits the bump stop which makes it crashy.

Putting B6s on standard torsion bars of expect to work well. Also the setup mentioned by tuthill should work too.

Or new standard spec should be very safe! It's very easy to go too stiff as it were.

Just a summary note . The new Boge are in with new mountings. For our country roads they are an excellent option really comfortable no crashing. I’m really pleased with the result. If anyone is doing a suspension renewal primarily for road touring new Boge should be high on your list.
