Mike I certainly remember watching ' Sabre of London ' but... we didn't get a TV in our house till 1962. So the late Fifties was out of reach TV wise. Maybe in the early 60's they were repeated? I was into 'Journey into space' in the early 50's, a super radio programme for kids.

What with Dan Dare and Matt Braddock in the Rover my life was comic led in the 50's. Sorry I guess not that many on here haver read or remember the exploits of Matt the VC Lancaster pilot.

That blue 356 convertible does look nice !

Would there be a AFN number for that plate TGR 668? My 55coupe FGR 750 #5417 was #81 car at AFN.

Matt Braddock (VC and bar, no less!) was a hero of mine - he also flew a Mosquito with a huge canon slung underneath, taking on ships and trains with gay abandon. The stories were so great that I used to believe as a kid that he was a real person. It took my dad to persuade me that he was a fantasy comic book figure and that he didn't exist in real life. Sigh...

I was the same as you convinced he did all those fantastic things. Reckon we are not the only ones Keith who were sure he actually had done those things in WW2. ( VC and Bar! I forgot about the bar!)

AFN`s Sales No for the Sabre Car was 150

Can you confirm that your Reg No. FGR 750 is the Original Reg Number - we did not have that one

Thanks
