RS Clones

Post by 1972_911t »

People who have built clones of the 73 rs's where do you buy you rear flared bumpers, ducktails and front bumpers from? Im trying to find a soucrce for these in the UK but would profer a recomendation from someone who as use a particular source to verify good fit.

Thanks Steve

I've never been able to find a UK fabricator/supplier who can supply grp RS panels which match the fit/quality/finish of some of the US manufacturers (such as Getty Design).

However, I'm planning to try out some of Barrie's* recently-announced RS parts:

*Barrie is 904GTS here on DDK (Barrie Martin - half of Martin & Walker, manufacturer of the superb Porsche 904GTS replica amongst other things).

Those prices look very fair, be interesting to see how they go on.

I got mine from Autofarm and it was fine - not a 30 second fit but not life threatening either, knuckles remained intact come the end...£300 ish I think

Autofarm source their parts from Rutherford Engineering. I am running front and rear glass bumpers from them and they seem pretty cool although I have to say the front bumper looked alot better than the finish of the rear one.
