So a minor update that’s taken ages. I got in the queue for the carb rebuild at the end of the summer. Finally got the carbs on yesterday and they are incredible. I know that many people have raved about David’s work but it is truly staggering. The carbs were in a poor state with blocked idle circuits and ‘easy out’ screws stuck into places they shouldn’t be ! They went on and the car is transformed! Just a quick spin with no windscreens ( they are out having the trim out in) and it pulls a lot better. A lovely guy to work with too!
While the carbs were off I put in a proper fuel filter & regulator and changed the fuel lines and put in an oil catch tank. Just the stickers and heater hoses to finish off the engine bay.
Elsewhere, I changed over to the new 15 in wheels with Pirelli’s, added the side script, new horns, some tidying of the interior and fitted the rest of the new seals. All the callipers were rebuilt and a new master cylinder fitted with rebuilt pedal bushes. I will hopefully get some exterior pics when it stop raining. I’m hoping to get it finally fettled by Crispin before Xmas and that will be it finished apart from some new seats and seat belts in the new year.

Thanks

Rich

Yep just need the weather to clear up a bit. Forgot to mention that David is at the Carburettor Exchange in Leighton Buzzard.
