Specific 964 BREY-KRAUSE extinguisher bracket fitted.....only specifically needed cutting, grinding, sleeving and re-welding to make it fit

Looks pretty over-engineered for the relative weight of the extinguisher doesn't it? Why did they have it mounted so far forwards - I would have thought it only needs to clear the seat lever or does the photo make it look worse than it is?

Or have the thought ahead, and provided enough clearance for TP81's cupholder?!!!

It is still better than drilling the floor pans though....

Spoke to the chap who built my 2.5 engine back in the early 90s, tuned it after his advice and enjoyed it roaring better than ever!

Bet your Missus loves climbing over that Chris when she gets in and out. I know mine would bend my ear when she opened the door and saw that taking her handbag space up.
Be interesting if it accidentally went off.

Spent a couple of days up in North Wales, Anglesey and runs through the middle, lakes Bala, Vernwy and some great roads until the chaos of Telford struck...

Boxster of course, ran a dream, never flinches whatever the traffic, and of course a new economy record for me, hit 70 even a few times.
So much traffic everywhere....
This faux Châteaux was not really that good, bit average, bar man didn't know what a Kir was.
European hospitality is soooo much better, we have become spoilt.

Killed 1/2 of Wales when started the car this morning with a giant plume of smoke because I parked it on a slope over night.
I don't think I will EVER get rid of that occasional problem on this car.

Checked the plugs, tappets and timing then went for a run to Strangford Lough, engine pulling well with the cams really lighting it up over 4K

I’ve been to coffee at the Cotswold Gateway Hotel, to meet a bunch of cheerful, friendly Porsche owners.

I got my 356C back a few weeks ago and since then I’ve been removing all the bugs that are inevitable after complete disassembly. Most frustrating was an all over the place tick over that nothing would fix and was eventually traced to a distorted inlet manifold letting in extra air. How anyone managed that with such a massive casting I’ll never know. Now, even in this very hot weather it’s running beautifully with a surprising turn of speed.

I have good heads, a 912 cam, counterbalanced crank, 1720cc pistons and barrels and a 123 distributor, but Zeniths because I like them and it might give a bit more mid, which is always useful, given the speed of traffic these days.

I still have endfloat in the near side king pin and a leaky fuel filler cap, but the clock is working courtesy of JDO Intruments and my Blaupunkt Frankfurt rebuilt by Daniels TV.of Stonehouse It’s a very good radio now with two new output devices (they’re always down) and non leaking electrolytics.

I’m very happy.

Buzzzzed to Loton Park yesterday to see the clubbie hill climb in the 911, a test run for Monday and a run to Oulton Park.
First competed there in the 911 in 1991.
All's good except the bloody wheel wobble at 70mph is back, must be the cheap Dunlops…

Went to Oulton today in the 987.2 as it has A/C and the wife does not do HEAT well. 30 deg out in the sun, too much.

The Boxster was just great, no wonder few use their classics when life in a Porsche is this easy.
Gritting our teeth to use the 911 tomorrow as it will be a few degrees cooler, and WE WILL use this car (a few times this year).
Not sure why I keep it.

Took it out yesterday. Up through Rhondda and over the Rhigos, on to Brecon via Penderyn. Then on to Grosmont castle. We went to Skenfrith castle but it was rammed so we came back via Monmouth and some spirited M4 driving.

^^ that sounds good, rarely go to the Breacons, worth a try when the schools are back and mid-week.

Went to Oulton again today but in the 911T.
No fuss, lovely in the cool of the morning first there in the PCGB arena.
Hot coming back, TRAFFIC everywhere so just rolled along with the flow, couldn't be bothered to overtake.

Even the wife thought it went well!

And no wheel wobble! :drunken:

Well now you know how to cure the wheel wobble, wife has to be in the passenger seat all the time, or an equivalent weight in that area???

Weigh you wife accurately and convert to bags of sand.

That'll make her laugh.

A woman's reach is far greater than the length of her arm...

Sand bags could be a great Danger Zone imho.
