Good question.

I'd like to ask the same question about 356s.

I would hazard a guess at
German Dunlop SP 165 HR15
When tested in Feb 1966

I keep a CMC model of a 1964 Porsche 901. It's practically impossible to read the writing on the tyres
but I can make out ' made in Germany'

Hasn’t Mr. Longstone tyre supplier very recently just posted the entire early 911 and 356 tyre type and sizes on a thread?

Regards
Mike

Not seen that thread but the 901 model seems to read something like CRIINOKO?I with a logo before and after the word or code.
It also appears to say VR15 165-380 TUBE TYRE Made in Germany. The 165 might even be 155 difficult to say.
CMC are usually very accurate with their models.
I don't know if the 901 morphed straight into a 911 using exactly the same spec but the Feb 66
test definitely says German Dunlop 165 HR 15 SP.
Longstone tyres will know for sure, unless different tyres were used for different markets ?

Your odd spelling from the model will probably be Cinturato as in Pirelli

The CMC model isn't anything like Cinturato, but maybe Longstone doesn't mention the Dunlop SP because they're long
gone and unobtainable ?
Or of course Porsche used Cinturato's for 1965 and changed to Dunlop's for 1966 ?

On the Kardex for my 356 it shows that the car was fitted with Continental tyres from new.

Generally 356s were supplied with Michelin Xs, though you could order it with other tyres (including Engelbert, Continental and Pheonix and even white walls!)
