Petrol Tank Replacement

Post by GonzoBard »

I’m about to swap out my old petrol tank for a new one. Is there anything I need to be especially aware of during the swap, any do’s and dont’s? Thanks

do buy a new seal, also i would paint the new tank and seal around the edge with some silicone then stonechip over both, then fit with new washers, and a new rubber fuel breather, and new fuel sender gasket (and/or new fuel sender). easy job overall.

Thanks. I’ve painted and stone chipped but don’t have new gasket or seal, I’ll get those ordered.
