Fantastic story Roy - keep it coming. If you have further memories of previous owner Tom Burke it would be interesting to hear them too. I think he was a 356 racer back in the day. Many thanks, Robert

No it was not that Tom Burke. I have seen photos of him with a Carrera A. I think he was a friend of Denis Jenkinson. The owner of my car was a Spitfire pilot during the war and then a commercial pilot with various airlines. Told me he kept the 356 because it reminded him of his Spitfire days. I believe after selling me the 356 which his pilot friends told him he had kept the old car too long, he bought a new Lotus. I wonder how that went for him?
