Porsche COA
Hi,
Is there a way to get a COA for a car without joining PCGB? I PMd Ian McLeod but I guess he’s moved on. I’ve bought a 1970 T and need to verify the spec.
Thanks Rich

Re: Porsche COA
Porsche AG are no longer giving COA’s since December 2018. Supposedly for Privacy reasons. No more, gone , dead !

Re: Porsche COA
Not that long ago you could email a guy in Porsche AG who would print out the basic build spec of your car based on the chassis number you provided. It wasn’t a CoA, but I wonder if this has stopped as well?
Re: Porsche COA
It is possible to get a Kardex through someone such as myself for most cars up through 1969 MY, however from 1970 through 1980 there is nearly nothing available.

Dave,
This car was manufactured 06/69. Can I send you the numbers and see what turns up please?
Thanks Rich

Re: Porsche COA
06/69 should be a 119xxxxxx (1969 MY) VIN and falls within what I can get. A very few 1970 MY Kardex do exist.

Re: Porsche COA
So, I have developed a new supplier, and he can supply the data for the 1970 & later cars. This includes 914/4 & 914/6; however, for the 914 models no transmission #'s are available. For a few years the transmission #'s are mostly not available for the 911 as well. Other than that, I generally get more detail than most CoA used to provide. I can confirm production #'s when provided.

Re: Porsche COA
Porsche will supply a Letter of Origin, LOO which has basically the same
info as the COA but it's not as fancy looking. The cost is £65.00

Now Porsche less and sad.

Re: Porsche COA
This LOO, has anyone got a sample to share? Do you have to provide engine # to confirm? Does it provide codes as well as descriptions for paint, interior and options? Does it provide country equipment codes or distributor codes?

Glad I don't have a Lamborghini; "prized certificates of authenticity, which cost up to €10,000 (£8900)"
Second thoughts, I think I could live with a Periscopo Countach without the COA
