Targa quarter lights

Post by Rupsol »

Very frustrating...…….neither quarter light operate in my 72 Targa. The lock is jammed in the upright position. I have dismantled the surround and taken the glass and frame out (might regret that when it comes to getting it back in with the rubber) but no amount of gentle or forceful manipulation has any effect. The locking handle moves about a quarter of an inch and that's your lot. Any ideas?

Also where can I get replacement grub screws for the surround? Half of them were missing.

Thanks in advance x

Hi, the screws are very short standard DIN countersunk screws - at least on mine. I do not remember any grub screws.

I remember a very small roll pin, not a grub screw. I’ll see what I can find in my spares

Hi
I've just stripped down two 1070 Quarterlights. On a 1970E the button unscrews and the arm is held in place by a small roll pin which taps out with a drift.
