Hello!
Any of you have any experience of this? Back of front sidelight housing for wiring contacts.
2nd contact metal strip (arrow) missing.
Also anyone know where a 3rd brown wire (earth?) would connect?
Thank you.

I think your car is a LWB 1969, which is very different in many aspects to a SWB
you might have better luck asking on the 911 long hood or in the 911 technical tips pages
good luck

Re: Front Sidelight Wiring 912
From memory, the earth attaches where one of the mounting screws comes through the plastic back and into the metal body. So at the very bottom of your pic, where there is a connector with red crimp - imagine a similar but uninsulated connector turned through 180 degrees, with a screw coming through the hole and connector.
2nd strip is probably not "missing". Depends what you are trying to achieve. Unless you have two bulbs mounted in a position to contact both strips (not likely I think), you only need one. Again from memory, and this varies Euro vs US cars, the metal strip contacts the indicator bulb. The sidelight bulb is mounted elsewhere, so (as yours has - the other red crimp connector) you need a wire to run over to wherever it's mounted.
Little bit of info here from my Resto thread: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=48740&start=510#p554893
