Aluminium engine lid
The old banger is in for a bit of paint at the moment, and I have always wanted to fit an aluminium lid (the original was lost way back in time).
Anybody know of a good second hand one or can recommend a new repro. Some of the new ones I have seen don't have holes for licence plate lights, but I don't suppose it is rocket science to cut them out. Prices seem pretty variable as well!
Cheers, Ian

Re: Aluminium engine lid
There are a couple of original aluminium engine lids on early911sregistry. Prices are very steep. Prepare for kidney sale. The one noted in the post above is long gone I believe.

Thanks chaps. I've been trawling interweb.
Anything s/h seems v expensive, but I guess you pay for originality.
Stretch, spoke to Stuttgart Classica yesterday, and that might be the one I go for. They say they are sourced in Germany. Anybody dealt with them before?
The KK ones are more expensive and may be ones from Aase.
Design 911 list one for £595 !!!, but on enquirying, it's been on back order for 2 years
