Ive been listening to "The Pineapple thief " new album .

I will admit an interest beyond the music, as good friend is in the band .. but their recent stuff is fantastic

Gavin Harrison has also now joined the band fully, and his drumming really does add another dimension 8)

Thanks for the reminder, I loved Mr. Jones. It was big at the time.

Tonight listening to my current favourite pianist - Valentina Lisitsa.
She's totally devoid of unnecessary dramatic theatrical posturing and plays as if her hands form part of the keyboard.
Beautiful music, sensitively photographed and a quiet virtuoso performance. 5 minutes of musical bliss.

I've seen the CCs more times than I can recall from Shepherd's Bush Empire when their first album came out to the Royal Albert Hall (when they toured Hard Candy, I guess). If you haven't got it, buy this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Amsterdam-Live ... +amsterdam

I prefer this to any of their studio albums and play it every weekend after too much vino. The only annoying thing about it is someone stuck 'the hit' on at the end (Mr. Jones), otherwise it's perfect.

If you like early Genesis (trespass, wardrobe, trick, wind, lamb) and if you reside somewhere in a Southerly direction you may be interested that 'Los Endos' who are a very good, excellent and quite superb Genesis tribute band are playing at the Capitol Theatre in Horsham this Saturday. I honestly don't know if there is any seat availability but these guys are GOOD. So if you can't get to see them this time do try and pick up a show some time in the future.
PS just got Steve Hackett's new CD - At the edge of light, only had a couple of plays but it's all very fine. Recommended.
