Tuning American Chevvy Engine LS7

Post by markm »

I have a friend who is trying to get tuned a LS7 Chevvy Engine/ ECU in his american truck. I believe he is struggling to get the ECU to talk to the engine to do various things i.e. cooling fan cutting in/ out etc.

Anybody know or could recommend anybody for who to talk to, maybe solve the problem for him.

Dave Walker at Emerald? They do ECU's and handle lots of different cars, or DTA, much the same, highly respected for hill climb engines which can be very 'unusual' to sort.

Depending where you're based, Northampton Motorsport are pretty handy with ECU tuning and set-up
If you get stuck shoot me a PM - I have a mate who's massively involved in the US car scene here and can probably recommend someone local-ish to you

Brief description of what Steve is dealing with

“It’s a lm7 I’m using witch is a 5.3 ls based engine. Using the standard GM ecu. It will run as is but not very nice because of the cam change”
