Regents Park : Tangerine S

Post by silver911 »

What a treat today... glorious sunny day in the park.. lo and behold a pristine RHD S to enjoy as it drives past me this morning.. to see, to hear and smell on such a day.

Great to chat briefly with you at the lights too... and thanks for letting me enjoy your car as much as you clearly do!

Seeing this 'glowing' car nimbly working its way down through traffic in sharp contrast to the bland mass of black grey, dark blue cars was brilliant and with the low autumn sun catching the rain gutters the instantly recognisable profile was picked out in great detail. These crips lines define the contours and provides a clarity to the styling that aero blobs of most current cars lack, even the newer 911s (GT2/3 and RS included)

PS also enjoyed the light yellow 64 or 65 (good slanted 911 letters on the rear lid) 911 I saw on the same route a few days ago....

Fantastic and thank you! Hopefully tomorrow is sunny as well.... might catch another chance to see one of them in the wild again. I’m usually out for a couple of hours in the morning... hamster wheel but great for car watching and just so handy from home!

Seems they re pretty sparing with the salt in Regents park, 1 lap gets the oil flowing, 2nd lap gets the brakes' fired up, 3rd lap can be fun if i m not shot by the police outside US ambassadors home ...........by then i m usually frozen in the speedster ,heaters fine but horrible to drive with roof up so bought a hat and gloves !......................usually tempted to get up to junc 5 on the M1 in the S .........it was my daily driver so solid but not pristine underneath .........on balance unless they get an outing every 2/3 weeks they re going to rot so prefer to get them warmed up etc is the choice !

seems like won't be able to get in car park in City from next april as it will be surrounded by petrol and diesel free area!!!!!!!!

Laps please.....lots of them! You're not alone.. theres' a Merc 600 Pullman and associated RR Phantom V (personnel plates 1 number part) that are 'exercised' frequently, chauffeur probably as the driver is meticulously at 30mph and very smooth at the lights.

Glad you choose the park this am....and I'll keep a look out for the Speedster.
