Coupe rear decklid is supposed to be practically flat looked like that in profile.. Speedster/cabrio decklids on the other hand are bent.
Maybe your final drawing is like that? Looks like that? :D

Thanks for that (and sorry for the late reply - work has been busy here)
I agree that the shape of the deck lid & maybe rear window isn't quite right on the profile & top view. I'll fix this then I think I'm almost done : )

Thanks very much for the input.

Porsche 356A blueprints

Post by 3ftDeep »

Hello. So, after well over two years (how did that happen?? ) I think I'm finished with the 356A factory blueprint reproduction.
It's probably not 100% but I think are pretty close. Probably not for reference for a scratch build but they look ok.

I've printed at A2 with a vintage texture. I sent one to Andy (Lightweight_911) for his invaluable help with working out the text in the box and he seemed to think it was Ok.

Here is it:

I produced this firstly because I wanted one but also to sell to raise funds for my restoration.
So, I'm going to open a shop with this and some other artwork I've done, the original Porsche literature I recently purchases and the boxes of spares I have. I'll keep you posted if this is of interest. I hope it doesn't take another two years :(

Well done but no beehive lights :(

Ha ha  Mine has these lights (which is obviously why I did this version) and took me long enough.

However, I'm happy to do a variant version.
What else is different with the bee hive version?

Not me but there's definitely a bumperless market out there.

Personally I'd love a copy just as it is. Looking forward to ordering one.

Actually, that's given me an idea for an outlaw variant; like an old factory drawing, lowered with gas burners or something. That would be quite cool.

I've decided I will do variants of this; an earlier T1 A and an outlaw version.

Is it just the beehive rear light that would set the T1 apart from the T2 (in general terms). I know there were a lot of small changes but what would make this look like a T1?

Thanks in advance.
