83. The Home Straight
So the car is now with Gary Cook for final assembly. Here are some shots as final build has progressed......
Wonder if this will be any good ??
I know it's the wrong lighter , but it's the one I wanted use.
Initial engine start...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Atc0gvhyLw
New webbing and belt labels supplied by Stretch..
Glass in
Not all plain sailing.. one of the calipers leaked overnight so strut had to come off for repainting.
Problem was a faulty flexi..
MSD relocated to inside the cabin, under the passenger seat..

I know they had ... doesn’t mean it looks good though
As you say.. if you want to keep the white and yellow for the sole reason the car started off like that , at least go for the proper original style

Hi Adam and Darren ..... I'm getting close now..
More images of final assembly work at GDC
Widget given up looking for the engine
A pleasing purple hue on the grille..
So after 4.5 years a MOT certificate
Little polish up before going off to Centre Gravity for a full geo set-up..
Next and final stop ... Centre Gravity in Atherstone

Looks amazing. I saw your car when I was at Gary's a few weeks ago. Well done. I need to get one of those BS AU plates.
Kind regards

I’ve just read the whole thing again from start to finish. I’d forgotten just how much has gone into this shell.
Wonderful stuff, and a benchmark build.
