My case is an early w code and from memory the dipstick is away from the taco plate.
I'm just going to have to take the plate off and take a look at and measure the internals to be sure.
The stubby sender I bought originally is a 150 degree and only takes the needle on the gauge so far.
The one I bought today is 200 so with a bit of luck they will work properly with each other, even if I need to trim 1-2mm off for clearance.

The original 914-4 200° sender is the same length as the 911 replacement.
The difference between the two is the connection on the end. The original had a spade connector while the replacement 911 one has a disc.
It has been common practise to use the 911 200° sender for sometime as the original is N.L.A.
