It was a nice little local show, Dave. Organisers were certainly very lucky with the weather and traffic was quiet getting there and, unusually, returning (Dartford Tunnel heading North was horrific heading home but we sailed past on the opposite side of the road, phew!)stretch wrote:How was this event this year.?
I have certainly never visited that neck of the woods before and was pleasantly surprised by the locale. I did lead the convoy onto Canvey Island after a mishap along the A13 but according to someone in the office earlier that's easy to do at that particular junction. We arrived a half hour later than expected due to this but no harm done.

How many Porsches were there? Looks to be about 20 max.

Certainly more than 20, Keith. I haven't posted any photos of the moderns (Boxsters, etc.)

It was certainly a great little event, well worth making the effort for next year.
At a guess possibly up to 40 cars in attendance... some left early/arrived late. There was a strong 356 presence and a nice mix of stock and modified.
I was in my VW T3 Katastrophenshutz, hopefully will be in my '12 next year assuming its finished!

i went last year but couldn't make it this year. If you are that way inclined, and i am, it isnt too far from Stow Maries, the only remaining (i think) WW1 airfield. So if you find you cant sit in 1 field all day, you can sit in 2 different ones instead.
