Yes, these car companies are starting to get on my tits pillaging their past for a marketing gimmick. Porsche calling the Boxster a 718, BMW putting ///M badges on EVERYTHING, and now Jaguar using the E-Type name on a crap off roader?! Its the automotive equivalent of digging up Queen Victoria and taking her corpse on a hen do..

Stood by one this morning in Italy sizzzzlelling at 34 deg and apart from looking huge (dimple top on) it looked simply beautiful.
Really fits in on the edge of Lake Iseo. :)
