Knackered mfi

Post by Bigfoot »

Hi has anyone got a cheap and knackered mfi complete, not sure how these things work but mine is 1973E and just want one to dismantle and 'learn' how they work

Knackered mfi

They're out there adam ... just not cheap. Assume you mean just the mfi pump ?

Or do you want a full system that can be modified for a full on fire breathing race engine

I've got a few mfi pumps Adam. One might even be a 2.4E. Lots of ancillary mfi stuff too.
Let me know your requirements.
Michael Bburgess's book is the one to get, direct from the author.

Regards
Mike

I was recently offered £4K for my complete MFI system (pump, stacks, throttle bodies, air filter housing, fuel lines etc)....all for sale although I value it at £6K.

Not sure if the pump is good as is although you're welcome to borrow it for a while as long as you don't adjust it with your hammer!

Im going to get mine reconditioned, just wanted a knackered one which I can take to bits and fathom out myself how it works rather than wreck mine.....
What do you want for your 2.4 one mike, assume it's in need of reconditioning?

Wasn't suggesting yours is 'knackered' mike but could be another option as a spare :)
