Penny just dropped that you were a previous owner of my E! I saw your name on some of the paper work but never knew you were on DDK. Car is going really well and usually looks better than in the picture above.

Looks great Feroz,

I answered the ad below in 2003, and owned the car until 2008.

I regretting selling then, and even more so now!!!

Enjoy it!

That is superb! I grew up looking at ads for Formulae Fuchs and always wanted to buy one of their cars .... and I guess I did in a roundabout way.

Thanks for posting.

Took the 914 out to a R-R in house car club meet today and got rained on  1st time ever the cars got rained on since being in the UK

Then I continued with my Project 997 Outlaw-Singer-Retro backdate/rebuild, having made these decals.

Wanted a Martini homage theme but a NOT in your face “LOOK AT ME, I’m a race car” Martini stripe over the car. It also needed to fit in with my retro Singer take on a 997 idea and without also trying to be too Gulf either.
I’m pleased how they came out, they "suggest" Martini without being to wide or fussy while retaining the simplistic traditional Porsche side decal design.

Got big plans for this 997, can’t say too much….watch this space as they say, or follow progress on my twitter feed

Have you posted about the 997 elsewhere? Curious to see what else you've done / learnt / etc.

Went to the Torrance DMV to register my 912 back in the US. Failed.

Drove over to Appbiz and bought an RS-style Perlon parcelshelf section to replace my homemade vinyl shelf that has already warped in the sun. Success.

This is Bob, the owner of the company, with my new carpet. Bob liked the car.

Just over my shoulder to the right is the Port of LA, where Luftgefooft was going on last week. The car was stuck in a customs bonded warehouse a few hundred yards away, and I was on a job in Utah. So also adding that to my list of failures.

My tyres have turned a strange colour on the journey over here.

Had you previously treated the sidewalls with 'Armour All' by any chance ?

I've had a similar brownish colour appear on the sidewalls after using 'Armour All' once the tyres have got warm/hot from spirited driving ...

I search for it - there's a compound added to the tyre to protect it against ozone degradation. It leaches out of the rubber and shows brown. You can wipe it off very easily, but it will always come back.

It's referred to as 'Tyre Blooming', by the way.

For only the 2nd time i can remember i sat in it. I steered it into the garage when i bought it. Then stripped it. Today the seats went back in. A sign of progress at last.

Left the daily at home & took a trip to Warwick, 160 mile round trip. It was a lovely day for a drive & to boot on the way home followed a very nice Blue 1982/83 (x reg) 911S Targa down the m42 & m5 south toward Worcester. Anyone on here ?

Moving house next week so lot's to do (especially when we are buggering off to Hertfordshire on Sunday / Monday to see Toots & The Maytals and The Specials) so got my priorities right and got the 993 out of hibernation as it hasn't moved for many months. On charge and ready to move.
