It's the extra flocked bit stuck outside the main seal, just to cut wind noise rather than water seal.
Certainly looks like it should do the job as it closes the edge of the frame nicely to the body with the door shut. It runs all the way from the wing to the rear 1/4 window.

Took the car to Harewood practice day - it went well! I finally seem to have fixed it!

3.46 seconds faster than my previous best so I'm pretty happy with that

Drove to the office for a quiet Sunday's paperwork. Parked up. Noticed I'd been joined by a lovely looking metallic red 911/912.

Thanks Gary,
I think I have these on my SC if they are held on with lots of very small self tapping screws? I wonder if the 964 version is different, anyone know?

I glued them on, but they have little holes in the carrier. They were described as 964 bits but may well be the same from SC onwards I guess.

I walked down to your pitch was a few times but never saw anyone near the car.
It was a good day for us too with only one minor mishap that we sorted.
By heck it was windy though!

For many years the horn on my 73T has got worse and worse, and now with just the 'Bass' trumpet on the car I feel sure it would fail the next MoT in the next few months.
The feeble horn got a few comments at the last MoT, so bought a pair of ebay wonders at £6.39 delivered suitable for anything that moves.

Fitted one and blew the roof off the garage, so fitted both and nothing worked..?
So finished up with the one on the stock wiring.
Almost as loud as the Boxster's if that was ever possible.
And have a suitable spare for later. :)

Should they be in series/parallel/whichever way you didn't fit them?
The simple things you see are all complicated

No worries mate, with 7 runs I was kept busy most of the day. Very efficiently run with quick turnarounds.
We were the red n black OMS with Tillicoutry Quarries livery. it was a perfect day for a shake down, rain in the morning made for extra caution and the track dried out nice in the afternoon with times coming down a treat. Finished with a 58.44 and now have a target of 55 for the season.
Glad you had a good day with no issues.
Turned out nice after lunch.

Not known to me. But I did see it parked in Bethnal Green again on the drive home.

Tried the horn connections in different combinations, but just got a weak 'burp' when the horn was pressed.
The one is really loud, so a marked improvement.

It has been a very long time since I did a hillclimb at Harewood. Great venue and quite a challenge, and the weather was never that good!
I practice this Saturday at Loton Park, hope we have 'your' weather ....
