I reckon it's a good 10kg lighter, but bugger me is it loud.

Silly loud.

I'm going to drive it for a bit to confirm, but I suspect I've got another 2 hours on the drive coming again soon. :(

I have a cat bypass and a g-pipe and I think its just right :-). G pipe mainly seemed to add a subwoofer when I fitted it IMO, although I guess it did nudge the volume up, a bit.

So, either you already have some other part of the system bypassed, or you're a giant woopsie.

Just a drilled air box.

I think.

I've not actually checked the first silencer is there...

It seems to have added more bass than I'd like, the RS style cackle is there, which is great, but the woofyness is more muscle car than RSR.

I'll see if I get used to it before I fully admit the whole woopsie thing.

^nice one Chris. Surfboard?

This weekend I fitted a Dansk premuffler bypass I won off the ebay for 99p. It is very slightly louder, slightly shinier and 1kg lighter than the stock premuffler. So why not.

Yes Mike it is. I 'think' I've fixed it (though now created another problem that its a bugger to start! at least once its warmed up it seems to be going well - sunday will be the real test)

Walked up to garage, laptop in hand ready to burn new cold start tune to the ECU (thanks Tim!), got in car, connected laptop and turned the key. Nothing. Dead as a dodo. Battery shows 2.3v across terminals. Very odd. Alternator and battery both about a year old, car drove impeccably last week up to Surrey, a day at the test track and back home again. No signs of failing battery. Bugger. Guess I'd better wait until the battery's charged so I can see if there's an obvious drain (interior light, boot light etc).

Never heard of a 12v battery reading 2.3v - did you mean 12.3v ?

In my experience a dead battery will read somewhere around 11.8/11.9 volts.

Edit... Just rechecked with another voltmeter, which shows just under 12 volts across terminals, just over when connected to battery charger.

Why re-map the map?
I thought the tune-up last week was perfect?
