I've had a mare!

Got there and realised I'd brought along my camera lens. But forgot the camera. Which is fine as I bought weekend tickets and I can go again tomorrow with my Father in Law and snap away merrily. Was just showing my wife the funky QR code thingy on the back of the tag and it says "Saturday". So I am now not there tomorrow with FiL. Doh!

I enjoyed this much better than last year. Last year seemed to be all crashes and safety cars and very little actual racing. This year saw some fantastic and very close races. Bloody freezing though and they really should ditch all that house point nonsense!

I didn't hear many people cheering for the their house!!
Perhaps it's a public school thing. I was very much comprehensive, til they asked me to leave……

MM was good, didn't seem overcrowded, good racing, very cold wind, but if you were prepared for an airfield in March it wasn't too bad.

Oh Gawd that bloody house points thing. When everything else is so right how come they get that so embarrassingly wrong? I really enjoyed it otherwise, and I'm looking back at photos (in the warmth) today. Great machinery around every corner, some good tight racing - especially the Graham Hill trophy. Did anyone ever expect a TVR Griffith 400 to see off 2 well driven Cobras?

What they got spectacularly wrong was the exit from the parking this year. A single exit lane and an hour to get out, including 45 minutes completely stationary. I have never seen such chaos

LOVE that pic of the Capri and fire. Fantastic
Nick, I was there Saturday and bailed when the Alfa crashed in the Gerry Marshall as I had a feeling that it might be a mad rush at the end. It was bad enough getting in!

Traffic in and out always seems unnecessarily slow. Didn't go this year but agree with the comments re house points thing and disappointed to see an increasing number of visitors scruffily dressed in jeans and trainers. Spoils the 'exclusive' feel of the event

Drove straight in both days, and didn't queue to get out, either. Mind you, I didn't stay to the bitter end.
